Indianapolis 3-Minute Sizzle Launched On Make48 YouTube

Get a glimpse into the full episode with our 3-minute highlight reel of the Indianapolis maker competition. Families, friends, co-workers, students and teachers teamed up to create a noteworthy project for the community and beyond.

The event was sponsored by Corteva Agriscience and was hosted at Fishers Maker Playground, the community makerspace inside the Hub & Spoke building in Fishers, Indiana. It’s Make48’s second time holding the competition in the Hoosier state.

Corteva Agriscience is building their portfolio around the world as an innovator in agriculture. As the sponsor of this year’s Indianapolis-Make48 event, they collaborated with the United Way of Central Indiana to determine the challenge theme - Food at the Right Place at the Right Time. The prototype challenge for the teams was to create a suitable "Food Locker'' that can house pre-cooked meals that the community members (consumers) can access, placed in locations around the city. (Think community little free library, but for food/prepared meal distribution).

Companies including PNC, AT&T and Creative Works were big proponents of the competition and sponsored the Indianapolis-Make48 event. The winning team will represent their hometown and go on to compete in the National TV Series competition (March ‘23), where it will be filmed for Make48’s sixth season.
