2. Innovation Experience: Classroom-Based Program

Students and teachers participating in the Make48 Innovation Experience use a separate curriculum platform, hosted by Thinkific, to access instructional content and resources.

What information is collected:

• First and last name

• Email address

• Password (created by the user)

This information is required for students and teachers to log in and access materials. Schools are provided with a method to enroll their students at no cost.

How this information is used:

• To create secure logins for students and teachers.

• To allow students to access curriculum content.

• To allow teachers to view completion status for their students only.

What we do not do:

• We do not collect grades, behavioral data, or demographic details

• We do not send emails to students

• We do not show ads or conduct analytics on student behavior

• We do not share student data with sponsors, mentors, or any outside organizations

Third-Party Platform:

Our curriculum is delivered through Thinkific. Thinkific acts as a processor of student data for the limited purpose of hosting our curriculum. Their full Terms of Service are available here.

3. Data Ownership, Retention, and Compliance

Data Ownership:

All student and teacher data collected through the Innovation Experience platform is owned by the participating school or district, not Make48.

Data Retention:

Student accounts and associated login data are retained only for the duration of the program, unless the school requests deletion sooner. Data is automatically purged at the end of each school year or after a period of inactivity (typically 12 months), unless otherwise requested.

FERPA & COPPA Compliance:

Make48 is fully compliant with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Students under 13 may only register with consent confirmed by their school or teacher.

Data Deletion or Access Requests:

Schools or families may request access to or deletion of their data at any time. Email us at info@make48.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.”
