This season's competition took place at Minnesota State College Southeast in Winona, MN. Driven by a strong collaboration between the Make48 team, the college's faculty, and dedicated industry mentors, seven teams were challenged to create prototypes focused on "Safety in Manufacturing."
With support from challenge sponsor Fastenal, the teams developed solutions to address critical workplace hazards like repetitive stress, slips, and machine-related injuries. Mentored by Fastenal colleagues, the teams showcased impressive ingenuity, exploring wearable safety technology, hazard prevention systems, smart safety solutions, and improved material handling equipment.
The top two teams from this event will advance to the national competition in Fishers, Indiana, this November. Relive the excitement and see event highlights at: https://youtu.be/2pSxoEoPqgg?si=-QJvBexkBxPB9weM
