In a two-episode special, viewers get an all-access pass to the floor at Wichita State University’s GoCreate makerspace. In a city world-renowned for its aviation legacy, seven student teams took on Fastenal’s “Altitude Upgrade” challenge—a high-pressure mission tasked with reinventing the modern in-flight experience. Working under an unrelenting 48-hour deadline, these innovators pushed past roadblocks, turned brainstorming sessions into functional prototypes, and competed for a coveted spot at the National Championship.

About Make48: Make48 is a nationwide invention-competition docuseries, distributed and aired in partnership with This Old House Makers Channel (Roku), that gives teams a challenge at the start of a three-day event.
