North Little Rock ‘Trail of Tears’ Competition Highlight Reel

2022 North Little Rock 3-minute highlight reel is available to watch on Make48’s YouTube Channel!

The North Little Rock Economic Development and the City of North Little Rock were the challenge sponsors for the event. Robert Birch (Director of Development) and Errin Stanger (Director at AR Innovation Hub) worked with Tom Gray to bring the 48-hour invention competition to the region.

In 48 hours, teams had to build an interactive tribute that will be on display at the North Little Rock Riverfront Park, where acres of urban greenspace for outdoor events, biking and activities are available for the NLR community. Acxiom and The University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College were big supporters of the event and supported the competition from start to finish. UAPTC sponsored the VIP presentation and dinner and Acxiom sponsored and gave back $3,000 to the AR Innovation Hub!

Tool techs, mentors and volunteers assisted the teams throughout the building using a variety of materials and equipment from our sponsors such as Stanley Black & Decker, Onshape, Airgas, Fastenal, ShopBot Tools, Ultimaker, Glowforge, MatterHackers, Black Diamond, TotalBoat, Lincoln Welders, The Restorer, Broadbeck Ironworks, Kreg and Olfa. North Little Rock companies AR Conductor, UAPTC and Matters In Motion, First Orion, Alessi Keyes, Argenta Wealth Management, NLR Library, Economics AR and First Security Bank rounded out our incredible supporters!

We’re excited to announce the winner(s) of the Arkansas competition… BUT that will be revealed in a few short months. The winning team will represent North Little Rock this spring at Nationals for a chance to win $10,000! Enjoy the highlight reel on Make48's YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_y5LsvfajRY and we’ll see you at our next and final 2022 city event in Kansas City, Kansas!
