Compete in the 48-hour challenge in Wichita, Kan, and work side-by-side with some of the most talented makers and innovators in the industry. Set to take place June 10-12, this event is open to teams nationwide. Competitors from Wichita and beyond will be able to participate in the unique maker competition, which helps participants discover what is possible in just 48 hours.

A series of Informational Meetings are available for those interested in applying. Key information about the competition and a short introduction of Make48 will be discussed. During the live discussions, we will take questions from the ‘virtual audience’ about the upcoming competition. Whether you’re a company, organization, potential team or individual, join us to learn more about team applications.

Teams must consist of 2-4 players, and one team member must be 18+ years of age. The winning team will win $2k and advance to compete at the national competition, slated for March 2023, where one team can win $10k. Applications are open now. This year’s challenge theme will be ‘Community Gardening’. Participants who compete in the 48-hour collaborative inventor and maker challenge will work with a group of Tool Techs that can make almost anything, along with access to a makespace and a mountain of tools, from 3d printing to metal fabrication to textiles.

For the second year running, Make48 has tapped GoCreate, as the venue partner to host the 48-hour collaborative inventor and maker challenge. This event will mark the third competition Make48 has held at the facility, following 2021’s City Series challenge as well as their newly minted National Competition.
