In Las Vegas, one of the biggest trade show events came to a close. The National Hardware Show was packed with exhibitors, attendees and industry professionals, including Make48 CEO Tom Gray and Wes Lewis (James Wesley Furniture).
At the Las Vegas Convention Center, inventors, retailers and distributors discovered the newest products and innovations shaping the future of home improvement. The National Hardware Show Show is THE place to find new and innovative products across numerous industries.
Three days of speakers and panels from experts and top-performing retailers were featured and the show floor was packed with exhibitors sharing their new and innovative products. Over 600 exhibitors were featured, including 259 NEW exhibitors, 225 featured products, and 97 inventors. The trade show was attended by over 30,000 hardware industry professionals.
On the first day Tom and Wes hit the showroom floor. They picked out their favorite finds and presented the great tools they found on the NHS Backyard Mainstage. Make48 has attended the trade show since 2017, and there’s always something new. Tom had a great time attending this year, seeing the latest exhibitors products and technologies. “Usually we have our own M48 booth, so it was a real treat to work alongside Wes Lewis. The favorite finds are hard to judge, as I could see many products taking up space in my yard and barn. The NHS is still the best way to get inventions noticed and the UIA program of speakers and panels was one of the best I have ever seen.”
At the United Inventors Association (UIA) new HABITAT Next Stage, inventors had the opportunity to pitch their products and receive feedback from industry professionals. The UIA stage was packed solid for 3 days with some of the highest regarded experts in the industry. It featured some amazing guest speakers and included 5 panels. Tom Gray hit the stage along with Kevin O’Connor from This Old House and Eric Joop and Dan Maxey from Tools In Action to discuss “Giving Tools A Voice.”
The UIA also hosted a number of educational sessions and speakers. Topics included patent and trademark law essentials, product development, packaging and branding and the financial tools you need to be successful during a product launch. Attendees gathered for a meet-and-greet session at the end of the day to learn more about UIA and its mission to the inventing community. https://uiausa.org
This show was a great success! Next year the National Hardware Show will grow even bigger. In 2023 NHS will partner with NAHB International Builders’ Show® (IBS) and NKBA’s Kitchen & Bath Industry Show® (KBIS) at Design & Construction Week® at the Las Vegas Convention Center to offer even more buying, selling and networking opportunities to the Hardware and Home Improvement community.
The NAHB International Builders’ Show (IBS) is the world’s largest annual residential construction show and is the must-attend event for professionals in the building industry. IBS is produced by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) which represents 140,000+ members and is the voice for housing policies to make housing a priority.
The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) is the not-for-profit trade association that owns the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show® (KBIS), as part of Design & Construction Week ® (DCW). KBIS, in conjunction with the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), is an inspiring, interactive platform that showcases the latest industry products, trends and technologies.”
