Meet Damon | Make48 Team Bio

This year the Make48 office is planning on hiring many new faces to fill a few roles. One of the new faces around the office is Damon Bradshaw. Damon lives in Kansas City with his wife Lauren, a professional musician, and his two teenage daughters.

We met Damon when he participated in Season 4 with the team from Operation Breakthrough. Damon is a multimedia producer with a focus on music composition and audio recording, and does a little bit of woodworking as well. Keep reading to learn more about our newest employee.

What is your role at M48?

I’m a project specialist, which means that I help out with development and implementation of various creative and technical projects that Make48 has in the works.

How did you get involved with the company?

I was on the show! I competed in season four along with Ben on the Bright Ideas team.

What is your favorite part about your role thus far?

Make48 has so many cool things in the works with tons of interesting people, amazing brands and non-profits. It’s fun to be along for the ride and I think the best is yet to come.

What have you learned since working with the team?

Much of my work involves various means of documenting the wildly, unimaginable amount of experience, innovation and maker knowledge that the Make48 crew and tool techs have had over the years. That can be overwhelming at times.

Since we work with makers, what’s something you’ve made that you’re proud of?

My wife and I have recorded lots of music together, and I’m very proud of what we’ve been able to create.

If you weren’t working for M48, what do you think you’d be doing?

In addition to multimedia technologies and electronic media production, I have a background in informal education and professional museum work. Kansas City has some outstanding museums and similar non-profits.

What inspires you?

I love it when a plan comes together. I’m inspired by passionate people working together as a team to create things that are more than just the sum of the parts.
